The Animal Control and Care Academy provides quality, affordable courses that have been highly rated by Animal Control workers. ACCA plays a vital role in the education and development of ACO's, administrators, shelter workers and staff, helping them to maintain and enhance the skills they need to serve citizens and protect animals. ACCA offers a variety of basic, advanced and specialized Animal Control-related training classes. Our professional development courses provide the essential skills, knowledge, and resources necessary for Animal Control staff members to stay on top of the changes that are occurring in our profession. Each training class has been strategically designed to provide the most up-to-date information relating to the course topics. Our instructors offer years of experience in the animal control profession and students will be presented with methods and techniques to deal with current animal-related issues.

ACCA brings the training to the agency, saving taxpayers hundreds of dollars in travel‐related expenses. You can “build” a program based upon what you feel your agency or staff would most benefit from. Pick and choose the topics and the number of days for training. We are flexible in our offerings. Your agency can also purchase blocks of training for your staff - you can select the topics later. This is a simple way in which to annually budget for in-service training. Training blocks may be acquired in 8 hour increments. 

Want to host some ACCA training? Each hosting agency receives 2 complimentary registrations for every 10 paid registrations. ACCA handles much of the work and we can promote the training to area agencies and provide registration forms. All we request from the hosting agency is the meeting space and audio/visual support.
